WEST CIMARRON

GENESIS:

“My introduction to storytelling occurred on WEST CIMMARON, the street of my childhood home. I am full of gratitude for my father’s dedication to bedtime cuentos (fables). I adored how he channled each character in El Conejo y el Zorrillo (The Rabbit and the Skunk)— I felt compelled to listen.

Cautionary tale warning the consequences of greed, envy and deceit.

Now in my mid 20’s I understand it is through storytelling that we collectively listen, educate ourselves and “enter the depths of another human being,” phrased by Han Zang, writer & recipient of the 2024 Noble Prize in Literature.
